Atheism is not an affirmative belief that there is no god nor does it answer any other question about what a person believes. It is simply a rejection of the assertion that there are gods. Atheism is too often defined incorrectly as a belief system. To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

UU Humanist Association.
Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without supernaturalism, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.
The UU Humanist Association strives to promote and extend the use of rational inquiry without supernatural considerations, followed by compassionate action in all human interactions. For over fifty years, the UU Humanists and its precursor organizations have celebrated the Humanist Manifesto(link is external)'s vision of a religion without gods through scholarship, teaching, promotion and advocacy - both within Unitarian Universalism and in the wider world.

AGNOSTICISM

Someone who does not know whether or not God exists. A weak Agnostic does not know if there is a God, but may feel they are still weighing evidence or will receive more evidence. A strong Agnostic believes it’s ultimately unknowable whether or not God exists.

Agnosticism is the view or belief that the existence of God, of the divine or the supernatural is unknown or unknowable. Another definition provided is the view that "human reason is incapable of providing sufficient rational grounds to justify either the belief that God exists or the belief that God does not exist."
