Job Descriptions

4 off-site cooks:  a CM volunteer will deliver about 20 pounds of frozen turkey breasts to your home early in the week of January 30, or we can arrange for you to pick them up at church. Please bring the sliced turkey to First Baptist Church (FBC), which is just two blocks east of First U on Saturday, April 7 between 9:30 and 10:30 AM.  Money is available to reimburse you for your expenses.  Prepared food can be delivered hot or cold, but please, not frozen.

15 on-site volunteers:  arrive at FBC by 9:30, receive desserts, cooked meat and potatoes from the offsite volunteers, prepare gravy and green beans, roll silverware, warm food in ovens, serve food and desserts, make and serve coffee and Koolaid, have a break and eat with our guests, wash any pots and pans, help with garbage take out and recycling, clean up kitchen and mop kitchen floor.  We should be done by 1:30-1:45.

10 off-site dessert makers:  prepare dessert for 24 guests.  Please bring your desserts cut and ready to serve, although it is no longer necessary to bag cookies.  Homemade cakes, pies, brownies and cookies are especially liked, but anything store-bought gets eaten, too!  Our guests are generally big dessert eaters and like at least two large cookies or a generous sized brownie, for example.
