Vision

Our vision of First Unitarian Church of Omaha is of a welcoming, inclusive community which is vital, growing, and caring. Our community will nurture each individual’s disciplined search for truth in an atmosphere free from dogma, encourage communication, and be safe for conflict. We will provide a strong intellectually and spiritually stimulating religious education program for everyone involved in our community which has a balanced emphasis of mind, heart, and spirit.

Our community at First Unitarian Church of Omaha will live by our guiding principles and honor the past, celebrate the present, and joyfully anticipate the future. We will preserve our historic architectural heritage and make it and our community accessible to everyone. To secure our place in the greater community, First Unitarian church of Omaha will be a respected leader known as a bulwark and refuge against racism, intolerance, and narrow vision.
