Multiple Activities from 4:00PM until 8:30PM

Join us on Thursday nights beginning April 24, 2008 for an exciting new six week program consisting of classes, a meal, and meditation. Activities for children from birth through 6th grade will also be offered during the entire program. Youth in 7th-12th grades are encouraged and heartily welcome to participate in the scheduled classes with the adults.

Reservations are required for meal and class attendance.  If you did not make a reservation and find that you will be able to attend one of the six scheduled nights, please call the church office to see if a meal and/or space in the classes of your choice is available. There is no guarantee that this will be so and you are strongly encouraged to sign up in advance if you wish to participate.

  1. Covenant Group for Spiritual Sharing and Growth: All over the country UU congregations have been engaged in 'small group ministry" and "Evensong" groups where they come together to explore and share their journeys. This will be a five week "taste" of such a group. Since the group will be no more than twelve participants, you are asked to commit to missing no more than one week. Led by Rev. Kate Rohde.
  2. Simplicity Circle: This exciting group is continuing from the last session of Soul Full Thursdays- part discussion group, part consciousness raising group, part support group, part action group, the purpose of this group is to help people create lives focused on the well-being of both people and the planet. You may attend one or all 5 of the sessions. Led by Tom Foster.
  3. Living with Intention: Based on Eknath Easwaran's 8 point program for spiritual living, this class will explore various ways in which spiritual seekers can intentionally incorporate practices into their lives that will help them live out lives of their choosing. This class is limited to 15 participants. Led by Cheryll Wallace, Director of Religious Education.
  4. Dance Lessons with Marie Carter: "The best things happen while you're dancing under the compassionate guidance of Marie Carter. The first week you will experience Salsa and East Coast Swing with two more dances added each week. Marie and the class will decide which dances will be learned following week one as Marie gets to know preferences of the participants. Marie is a member of the church and of OCUUPS. She has been dancing for more than 10 years and has been teaching dance since 2004. You may attend one or all 5 of the sessions.
