Friday evening FREE talk

There is a free presentation about Permaculture on Friday 17 from 6:30 to 8:30pm:

UNO Main Campus; CPACS Building, Room 132D

As long as Bill and Becky are in town, they will present this insightful FREE talk on Friday evening as a prelude to the weekend permaculture workshop. They will present on how we can use our ingenuity in working with nature to create
sustainable cultures at our homes and community. They will discuss the crossroads we are at with climate Permaculture Ethic: change and peak oil, and how Permaculture offers hopeful approaches for developing resilient communities.

Permaculture is simply an umbrella word for ‘all things sustainable’. Whether we are talking about solar panels, roof-top gardens, well insulated homes or rain gardens. all of it can be incorporated into a  permaculture design that looks for ways that humans can live on the planet without consuming or polluting it. Permaculture looks at ways, for us as humans, to live
abundantly on the planet while taking care of it at the same time. It looks at energy, water, food and shelter -
where do they come from and where do they go when we are finished with them. It also looks at how we
go about finding meaningful work and creating safe, healthy and vibrant communities. Meet Bill and Becky Wilson, of Midwest Permaculture, presenters for the free Friday talk and weekend workshop.
