Celebrate the warmth of the season…

You're invited to our commUUnity caravan on Dec. 6 at 1pm (following the Sunday Zoom service) in the church parking lot.

YES (Youth Emergency Services): Warm new clothing items such as gloves, hats, coats, hand warmers, and fleece blankets and/or holiday gifts such as headphones, Apple & Android chargers, footballs, razors, electric shavers/clippers, basketballs. Every year YES gives out holiday gifts to the teenagers in their program—help us make their holidays bright!

First U Neighborhood Care: $10 gift cards to nearby gas stations, $10 gift cards to nearby fast-food places such as Taco Bell, Runza, McDonalds,  $10 gift cards to nearby grocery stores such as Hy-Vee or Bakers, bus passes (the office usually purchases the 10 rides with transfer bus pass). Share your holiday spirit with those in need!

Clair Memorial Food Pantry: Pastor Portia requests canned soup, boxed or packaged meals for chicken or tuna, and cereal. Every month the Clair Cares Food Pantry feeds hundreds of people—help us make sure their pantry  is well stocked for the holiday season!

Stop and see Rev. Shari at her station to pick up your Christmas Eve candle. During the Dec 24th Zoom service, light your candle during "Silent Night," and our screens in gallery view will light up like a Christmas tree with the bright love of the season.

Stop and see Christina at the RE Station to sign up for Mystery Friends, a pen pal program that matches adults with children/youth in our congregation. This year we will exchange letters for 9 weeks, between Dec 14-Feb 12, and meet on Zoom to reveal our identities on Feb 13! (More details and online sign-up option to follow).

YRUU will be selling hot chocolate and apple cider at the RE Station as a fundraiser for our Share the Plate Program.
