Double feast for the eyes and ears this Friday, Dec 2nd at First Unitarian Church!

First:  Our monthly “First Friday Art Show” is sharing the evening.

Doors open at 6:15pm on Friday: head downstairs to the Common Room and enjoy a 10-minute pre-concert art info/tour at 6:30pm by John Hruska.  (All are welcome whether interested in concert to follow or not).

Featured artists this month are: Mary Vogel, Rachel Jones, Roger Arney, Steve Raybine, and Dr. Bob Jones.

Second:  Peter Mayer Live/In-Person Concert
Starts at 7pm in the Sanctuary on Friday.  Tickets: $25 at the door.

An alphabetized list of the 54 people with advanced tickets will be at each door, plus look for a reminder email.

Childcare reservations are closed, but you can try to see if last minute requests can be honored -- email:  auction@firstuuomaha.org

Last chance to enjoy guitarist and song-writer Peter’s Mayer’s show in Omaha.  This is your chance to meet UU guitarist and song-writer Peter Mayer.

Blue Boat Home (sung often at church) is just one of his many "songs for a small planet--about interconnectedness and the human journey…and also songs about pajamas and other important stuff."

Peter's work has been included in song books, church hymnals, and folk radio playlists across the country. He is the recipient of fellowships from the McKnight and the Bush foundations. He has eleven albums to his credit, and has sold over 100,000 of them.

Third: Bring your sweet tooth.
Reception to follow concert with fabulous homemade birthday cakes by Linda Hruska and Cake Gallery with some simple beverages. More opportunity to talk to Peter, see the art, etc.

Fourth: Parking.
There is sizable parking lot just west of the church, but it will not hold this crowd.  You can park in the Mid-Town Crossing Garage for up to 3 hours without cost by getting a ticket on entry to their garage (turn left to find a parking space nearest to the church)—and we’ll get your pass validated at the church before you leave!
