Welcome! On this page you will find all things related to our search for our next settled minister.
Since its election at the Annual Meeting in May, the Search Committee has been busy organizing itself and taking steps to follow the UUA’s very detailed process that all congregations are encouraged to use when in search for a settled minister. We held a retreat with our regional transitions coach, Rev. Oscar Sinclair, the minister at Unitarian Church of Lincoln. He is very knowledgeable and supportive, we are grateful to have his guiding hand in this process.

Click on Contact if you have any questions or concerns you would like to share with the Search Committee. We want most of what we do to be open and transparent; only a small part of the process, when it relates to prospective candidates, must remain confidential.

SAVE THE DATE: Rev. Keith Kron, Director of the UUA Transitions Office, will conduct a three-hour Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop on Saturday, November 9 (time to be determined) and a related worship service on Sunday, November 10. Beyond Categorical Thinking is a facilitated exploration of implicit bias and what preconceived ideas we might have about how a minister should look and act. Attendance at the workshop is required for the search committee, expected of church leadership and strongly encouraged for all of our congregants.
CONGREGATIONAL SURVEY: The congregation will be asked to complete a survey in the
Fall to collect basic demographic data and respond to ministry-related questions. The results of this survey will be included in the document packet sent to prospective ministerial candidates. We need a better than 60% response rate, so please participate!
More to come as we journey down this path together…..
