Women's Alliance

Background:
Women's Alliance has been meeting since the late 1800's. Members of the Alliance are women, and those who identify as women, primarily from First and Second Unitarian Church of Omaha. The Alliance Women meet the second Monday of each month September through May, except for January. Women's Alliance is a gathering of women who mingle with friends, eat a delicious dinner, and hear a presentation from a speaker chosen by our program volunteers. Previous speakers include members of First and Second Unitarian, No More Empty Pots, Youth Emergency Services, and Refugee Empowerment Center, among others. Women's Alliance members pay a fee that helps develop our Merritt Education Fund, a fund created to help those who wish to broaden personal development directly related to church functions or education. Previous recipients attended General Assembly and UU Leadership School. The Alliance also provides scholarship for young people who live in 1st U’s partner village in Transylvania, Romania. Please consider joining us!
