Join us Saturday, November 30, 1:00–3:00 pm in the Grace Room (2nd upstairs classroom).
Join us for a hands-on workshop to gather & create simple, beautiful story props for our Spirit Play baskets—felt pieces, small figures, scene cards, and other tactile items that help children experience stories with their eyes, ears, and hands. No crafting experience needed—just a willingness to cut, glue, paint, and have fun together.
Who’s invited:
Parents & caregivers
Current or aspiring Spirit Play guides
Crafty teens
Anyone who loves making things for kids’ spiritual exploration & enjoyment
We’ll provide:
Templates, sample baskets, and guidance
Most supplies (felt, cardstock, paints, sealants, wood bits)
Light snacks & good company
You can bring (optional):
Any tiny figures you’re ready to donate (many stories need people or animal figures!)
Small, sturdy natural items (pebbles, shells, twigs)
Favorite scissors, glue gun, or paint pens (labeled)
Why it matters:
Every prop you help create makes our stories more engaging, supports different learning styles, and helps kids connect deeply with our UU values.
RSVP: Email dre@firstuuomaha.org to let us know you can attend.
